My family has called Massachusetts home for seven generations, and my deep roots here are what drive my work. As the founder of a criminal justice reform nonprofit, I have been deeply involved in policy, but I have become increasingly frustrated by a state legislature that is the least productive in the country. For me, the line in the sand was when the Governor announced plans to build a new women's prison. We do not need that. Not when we are facing a decades-long affordable housing crisis, when childcare is far too expensive, and when too many of our children go to bed hungry in one of the wealthiest states in the country. I decided to run because our priorities need to change, and we must focus on the real needs of our communities.
Build publicly owned social housing in Massachusetts to address the decades-long affordable housing crisis and ensure working families have access to stable, affordable homes.
Fight for a state-level Medicare for All system that guarantees every Massachusetts resident access to quality healthcare, regardless of income or employment status.
Fight for universal childcare in Massachusetts so that no family is forced to choose between work and raising their children, and no child is left without quality care because of cost.
Ensure that public school education is funded equitably across the Commonwealth, so that the quality of a child's education is not determined by the zip code they are born into.
